Quality Assurance

Inspect, audit, and report on material processes and products to ensure product safety and quality, which includes support of our AIB program. Provide expert QC support to the Quality Manager by performing in‑process and final inspections. Can perform and document inspection of raw material, finished product, and returned materials.

• Lead rework/sorting process
• Conduct regularly scheduled documented quality testing and additional testing as needed
• Assist in food grade GMP audits (AIB, SQF knowledge a plus)
• Ensure quality processes/procedures are being followed by operators
• Process/track roll audits from IAuditor into QIR’s and submit to respective mill
• Act as a liaison for Customer and Quality, through Customer Service
• Provide actionable analytical data related to Customer QVR’s to the Quality Manager
• Obtain paper calipers from mills (in our paper plan) we purchase from, on a semi‑annual basis
• Assist in QVR Root Cause Analysis
• Customer Visits & Sample Collection as needed
• Assist in FSC and SFI related items
• Assist Sales with Special Projects as needed
• Provide KPI reports to all Schwarz facilities on a monthly basis (or as needed)
• Supply customers with performance scorecards monthly (or as requested)

• Practice and enforce proper safety procedures
• Identify quality defects in raw materials and finished products
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned
• Train new team members

• Experience in a quality role

• Knowledge/Experience in Corrugated or Paper Packaging

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Exceptional and clear written and oral communication skills
• Multi‑task
• Must be able to work in a team environment, yet function independently and with minimal direction
• Must be an effective time manager and adapt to a quick paced environment

• Leadership capabilities a plus

Ability to lift up to 40lbs, be on your feet for extended periods of time,

Work in an office and the plant, be able to walk the production floor as well as work in a hot environment.
