Position Summary As part of the Americold team and broader Tech
24 network, the Senior HVACR Technician serves as a lead technical expert in the field. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service. The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial food service repair experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and the confidence to work independently while representing Tech
24 with professionalism and integrity. Food service Technician plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime and supporting the overall success of our customers’ operations.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.) Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.

Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations

Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system

Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers

Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked

Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner

Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service

Follow all safety regulations and company policies

Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills 3+ years of commercial food service and/or refrigeration repair experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions

Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters

Own industry standard hand tools

Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

EPA Universal certification preferred

Compensation Transparency The advertised pay range for this position is $25-$40 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, specialized expertise, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial food service experience may be considered at the higher end of the range.
