Position: Full Time Field Service Technician - Milwaukee, WI

Job Summary

Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Milwaukee, WI and surrounding suburban area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks, as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory consists of over 70 kiosks, and the position requires around 40 hours per week.

Hourly pay ranges from $22–$25, based on experience. A company car will be provided, along with cell‑phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.

Essential Job Functions
  • Re‑stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed, based on demand or schedule.
  • Perform on‑call repairs or adjustments to the machine when it goes out of order.
  • Install new kiosks or swap older machines in the local area.
  • Monitor machines daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power problems.
  • Track inventory for re‑stocking machines in kiosk technician’s possession.
  • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships.

Safety and Health

Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, including immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and supporting safety committee activities.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
  • Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, including technical jargon.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Represent Hillman professionally at all times.
  • Available to work weekends when required.
Operational Equipment
  • Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver’s license; a clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
  • Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement).
  • Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed).
Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment

Sales/service environment varies by location/store setup. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Daily travel required, sometimes up to 200 miles. Hand/eye coordination, functional vision, and hearing are required.

Physical Demands

Medium - lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
