Instrument Technician

Our client, a leading environmental services organization, is seeking an Instrument Technician to join their team. As an Instrument Technician, you will be part of the Operations & Maintenance team supporting wastewater treatment plant instrumentation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Type: Fulltime | Direct Hire

Location: Oak Creek, WI

Pay Range: $30-$40/hour (Based on Experience)

• Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul instrumentation used to monitor and control wastewater treatment processes.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and microprocessor-based equipment.
• Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and calibration devices to support process instrumentation and controls.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to install, start up, test, and modify new and existing control systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, update operating documentation, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

• Associate Degree in Electronics Technology from an accredited technical college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in electronics, instrumentation, controls, or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of digital and analog electronics, instrumentation calibration, PLCs, DCS systems, and process controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces, heights, hazardous environments, and varying weather conditions.
