Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager will assist and support all aspects of marketing with oversight of advertising, promotions, special events and entertainment. The ideal candidate is an energetic and highly intelligent administrative professional with outstanding organization skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates the development and implementation of promotions and events including drawings, giveaways, parties, special events, etc.; assesses the effectiveness of all promotions and events.
  • Coordinates the development and execution of all advertising including radio, television, digital, social, and OOH.
  • Manages the process and works directly with external vendors, including ad agencies and direct mail companies, to oversee design, production and timely delivery of materials.
  • Assists in the development of annual business plans for Marketing that identify revenue potential and describes marketing programs and services that will attain acceptable levels of revenue.
  • Implements the business plan in order to achieve planned revenue and profit; anticipates and reacts to changes in planning assumptions and alters plans as necessary.
  • Determines financial effectiveness of programs and manages marketing expenses to budget. Analyzes cost and revenue reports for areas of responsibility and recommends actions to be taken.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and endorses business objectives, ethics and values of the company and property.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing assigned duties
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among personnel and the public
  • Serves as a leader for team members while fostering teamwork, positive morale, motivation, open communication.
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky racing and gaming license
