JOB SUMMARY:

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is a new facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, across from Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

The Stable Laborer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining barn stalls, shed rows and grounds. The candidate will also assist in the day-to-day operation of the Racing Office and paddock during racing season. When requested, assist in processing stable applications and allotting stalls to horsemen.

• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining barn stalls.
• Responsible for grounds upkeep including general landscaping (grass cutting, weed eating).
• Responsible for guest service and relations to assure that our guests have a favorable experience.
• Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests. Facilitate processes to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
• Report maintenance that needs to be done to physical structures (e.g., stalls, stall doors).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the department.

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience is preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
