Description Oak Grove:
Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

Job Summary

The Operations Shift Manager is responsible for the successful oversight and day‑to‑day operation of the Gaming and Beverage departments by ensuring maximum guest service. Verifies and maintains consistency in the compliance of state laws, regulations, and company internal policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with supervising the gaming and beverage operations.
  • Promote positive customer relations, greet customers, and create a friendly atmosphere.
  • Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel and support departments.
  • Creative problem solving and resolution management.
  • Adhere to state gaming regulations.
  • Assume overall responsibility for department performance, work flexible hours, and handle high‑pressure deadlines.
  • Develop staff: interview, hire, and evaluate.
  • Train all team members to ensure consistency of service at the highest level at all times.
  • Ensure accuracy of all menus and update POS as required.
  • Maintain budgeted labor and staffing levels; oversee ordering and inventory levels.
  • Be knowledgeable of all health department standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The employee may sit or stand, walk, use hands for reach, handle objects, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. May lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. Noise level moderate to loud. Circulate throughout assigned areas monitoring players and machine functioning.
