Position: Instruction Librarian (Faculty Tenure-Track)
The Opportunity:

Skagit Valley College seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty librarian position at the Whidbey Island Campus. The librarian will collaboratively lead information literacy (IL) and AI literacy integration with primary responsibilities in instruction, reference services, and student success support. The successful candidate will teach information literacy across multiple modalities, collaboratively lead innovative AI literacy initiatives, and partner with faculty to integrate critical thinking and emerging technology into the curriculum.

This position works with a team of faculty librarians and the dean to prioritize tasks and organize workflow.

The position will be based at Skagit Valley College's Whidbey Island Campus but may be called upon to occasionally work at the Mount Vernon campus. In addition to its primary duties and under the supervision of the dean, the librarian works closely with the library circulation supervisor and student workers to maintain library spaces and meet needs at the Whidbey campus library.

The position reports directly to the Dean of Libraries, eLearning, and Learning Resources. This position is expected to begin in fall term, September 2026.
