Qualifications
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with students in a warm and confident manner
- Ability to remain flexible to changes in assignments or situations
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
- Ability to be fair and consistent when working with students
- Ability to properly perceive emotional state of students
- Ability to appropriately monitor and correct student behavior
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Substitute teachers work in Preschool - Grade 12 classrooms in a variety of settings on an on-call basis. Work is based on employee absenteeism and there are no guaranteed hours or benefits.
