Floral Manager

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service as defined by the employer.
• Train, schedule, and supervise floral clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns for the floral area.
• Write the floral department schedule with Store Director approval.
• Follow Division guidelines for merchandising plan implementation.
• Speak with customers to resolve problems with sales or service related to the floral area.
• Design aesthetically pleasing floral arrangements for display or for customer needs.
• Manage inventory per company policies to drive sales and profits.
• Perform daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
• Prepare and enter floral department orders into the computer system.
• Stock and maintain displays in the floral department; remove expired items daily.
• Operate helium tank to inflate balloons.
• Use sprayers and containers to water all plants.
• Maintain cleanliness of the floral area.
• Operate cash register.
• Monitor inter‑office mail and the company website daily for updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures and demonstrate prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Ability to interact with customers and co‑workers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Previous experience or training as a floral clerk or designer.
• Exposure to mild chemicals (e.g., detergents, glass cleaner).
• Familiarity with equipment such as hand trucks, six‑wheeled carts, grocery carts, box cutters, pens, spray bottles, rags, mops, brooms, telephones, knives, calculators, flower cutters, balloon machines, computers, floral decorating supplies, and cash registers.

• Hourly pay range of $17.38 to $27.40, not less than the local minimum wage; starting rates vary with location, experience, qualifications, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
