As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as an organization that values its customers and their opinions. You will directly assist customers, help them recognize the need for our products and services, and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive and outgoing nature that enjoys serving others and making a positive impact is essential.

• Customer service: proactively engage and connect with customers; ask questions and listen to their needs; direct them to merchandise; inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card; provide premier customer service; cooperate and build positive, inclusive and respectful relationships.
• Organization: maintaining store appearance.
• Sales: cross‑sell products and know the layout of the store; make suggestions to customers on latest trends and promotions based on individual needs; up‑sell; learn product features and keep up with trends; use the Point‑of‑Sales system to process cash, discounts, gift cards, credit/debit cards, and handle cash including counting and returning accurate amounts; complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
• Inventory: manage merchandise; complete inventory processes; ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed; participate in periodic inventories.
• Dependability: adhere to the assigned work schedule; complete assignments accurately and fully; perform other duties as assigned.

• Product knowledge: basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
• Experience:
  
  retail experience preferred but not required.
• Communication skills: strong interpersonal and communication skills; read, write, and interpret instructional documents; communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management; telephone etiquette.
• Mathematical skills: basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reasoning ability: multitask, remain attentive to customers, stay flexible to business needs; work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. It may occasionally involve tooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting 25–50 lbs. Work is typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location.
