Compensation: $3.571 - $3.571 per hour

Role Summary Tessera is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Worker III with a positive and can‑do attitude. The General Maintenance Worker III performs skilled to highly skilled work in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plumbing, electrical, structural, grounds, and equipment.
Typical Duties- Painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters.
- Replace electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, toilets, and caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures.
- Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
- Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
- Communicate with scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
- Follow all Safety Procedures and Policies.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, decks, stoops, and sidewalks.
- Journeyman certification preferred.
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Employees must have the ability to perform extended physical demands with or without assistance. The physical demands may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- Valid state driver's license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
