General Maintenance Worker III

Compensation$35.71 per hour

Responsibilities- Paint, carpentry, and siding repairs or replacements.
- Replace glass in doors and windows.
- Perform minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work.
- Clean roof drains and gutters.
- Replace electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Caulk plumbing kitchen fixtures.
- Communicate directly with customers and supervisors to explain unexpected or additional repairs and determine customer needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
- Diagnose problems and suggest solutions to customers and supervisors.
- Communicate with scheduler to update repair status and estimate completion dates.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, decks, stoops, and sidewalks.
- Journeyman certification preferred.
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- May require climbing in and out of vehicles and up/down stairs.
- Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
A valid state driver’s license is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license, U.S. passport, or military , in accordance with the REAL .
