Registered Nurse (RN) Neurosurgery Outpatient
Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Neurosurgery Outpatient unit. This role requires a dedicated and culturally sensitive healthcare professional who will provide patient‑centered care, clinical excellence, and leadership within the inter‑professional team.
Base Pay Range$32.45/hr - $48.70/hr.
This position includes a $5,000.00 sign‑on bonus, payable ½ after 90 days of hire and the remainder ½ after 1 year of employment (internals not included).

- Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision making to achieve the safest patient environment and best experience.
- Participate in leading healthcare transformation and nursing profession advancement through vision, accountability, shared governance, and inter‑professional coordination.
- Demonstrate presence with patients and families, practice empathy, respect dignity, and support spiritual needs.
- Contribute to future delivery of care via inquiry, adaptability, change, continual development, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Commit to lifelong learning and maintain full scope of nursing practice.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

- Good communication and computer skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with patient care equipment.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Specialty certifications as required (see Certification Addendum).
- Work weekends, holidays, different shifts; occasional on‑call.
- Transport patients, objects, and equipment; respond quickly to patient needs.
- Exposure to adverse or hazardous conditions while caring for the sick.
- Assist in evacuation of patients in case of fire or disaster.
- Work with potentially infectious specimens and patients.
- Lift objects up to 35 lb without assistance; use patient handling equipment for heavier lifts.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred; certification in nursing specialties as listed.
- CPR‑Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS and/or PALS requirements per site.
- Other specialty certifications and experience per site.
