Overview

A Shift Lead bridges the gap between the Store Manager and Team Members, overseeing daily operations while maintaining the quality standards set by management. Actively present on the floor, the Shift Lead ensures smooth operations, fosters a positive and supportive work environment, and delivers exceptional customer service. They proactively solve problems, serve as an approachable resource for team members, and provide guidance and assistance throughout their shift.

Hourly Pay
  • 13.00/hr
    -13.50/hr + Tips ($6/hr Average); DOE
Key Responsibilities
  • Become educated in specialty coffee standards in extraction and a variety of brew methods: pour over, flash brew, and espresso
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment. Executing daily and weekly cleaning tasks, as well as a weekly deep clean of the cafe
  • Assist in training and scheduling baristas and team members, promoting a collaborative and supportive work culture.
  • Oversee daily operations, including inventory checks, stock ordering, and ensuring the café meets cleanliness and organizational standards.
  • Assist the Store Manager in monitoring sales, labor, and COGS, contributing to strategies that drive profitability.
  • Address team member inquiries, complaints, and issues with professionalism and support.
  • Conduct quality checks on all coffee products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, filling out and executing on daily & weekly checklists
Requirements
  • Weekend availability
  • Compensation is commensurate with previous specialty coffee experience
  • Previous experience in food & beverage or in a customer service role is preferred, but not required
  • Texas or National Food Manager certification (required after employment)
  • Friendly, caring, and a heart to serve (A MUST)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
