Position Title

Expediter, QSR – Front of House Manager

Employment Status

Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt (FLSA)

Pay Range

$14.00/hr – $16.00/hr (based on skills and experience)

Position Summary

An Expediter is responsible for ensuring customers receive a food product that is well presented, timely, and consistent. This role includes oversight of food preparation and setup of the stations on the Cooks’ Line; maintaining the highest quality of cleanliness, safety, and sanitary work environment; quick and efficient preparation of menu items; the ability and willingness to work as a team;

and an eye for detail and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read orders and assist in the preparation of food.
  • Prepare plate presentations.
  • Ensure food product is created consistently and within applicable timeframe.
  • Wash, trim, cut, and prepare foods for cooking.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Measure ingredients as required for specific food items.
  • Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee and fountain drinks.
  • Verify that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
  • Serve orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables, as needed.
  • Take food and drink orders and receive payment from customers.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 1–2 years Quick Service or Fast Food experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years food preparation experience preferred.
  • 1 year restaurant and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle stress under pressure and in fast‑paced situations.
  • Work well with others and collaborate as a member of a team.
  • Basic math and calculation skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules.
  • Current food handling certifications as required by state and local laws.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Requires close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hot liquids.

Noise level usually moderate.
