We’re looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team at Express Employment Professionals in Oak Lawn, IL. This is a full-time opportunity in the thriving staffing industry, where you’ll play a crucial role in helping businesses find the talent they need.
About the Role:
As a Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for promoting our staffing services to local businesses. Your mission will be to identify new business opportunities, connect with key decision-makers, and build lasting relationships. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re comfortable engaging with professionals at all levels and possess the ability to sell essential, intangible business services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Outreach:
Make over 100 sales calls weekly—both by phone and in-person—aiming to secure at least two new clients each week. Client Engagement:
Meet with decision-makers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions. Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed documentation of all sales interactions in our proprietary database. Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute a daily sales plan to optimize your outreach and follow-up efforts.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Staffing Consultants to ensure seamless communication regarding new orders and candidate placements.
Compensation and
Work Schedule:
Base Salary + Uncapped Commission – No minimum guarantee or draw to earn commission Office
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is not a remote position.
Requirements: Proven experience in B2B sales is a plus but not required. 2+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or sales. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong student mentality and willingness to learn. Outgoing and communicative nature.
Proficient computer skills.
