CT / Radiologic Technologist – Cardiac Catheterization Lab Travel Job in Oak Park, Illinois

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Details
  • Location: Oak Park, Illinois 60304 (Chicago metro area)
  • Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Employment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist Contract
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025, End: 3/30/2026)
  • Shift: Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:30)
  • On-Call: Call starts at 3:30pm; 7-10 days/month including every other weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun)
  • Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Radiologic Technologist Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology
  • Current ARRT (R) certification required
  • Illinois IEMA Radiologic Technologist license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Experience with Siemens IR/CATH tables and Mac Lab recording system preferred
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Must complete required labs within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Fingerprinting required prior to start date
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Monitor and accurately document all cardiac procedures
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment:
    Siemens IR/CATH tables, Power Injector, PACS, and Mac Lab
  • Float between Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology as needed
  • Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties during procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Support a range of cardiac and vascular procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, cardiac ablation, and catheter/drain exchange
