We have an immediate opening for an experienced HVAC Technician. In this role, you will service or repair (on your own) and install (with assistance) heating and air conditioning systems in mostly residential and some light commercial spaces.
You have 3-5 years of work experience in an HVAC service and/or maintenance technician role and hold a Universal EPA certification. Comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in doing work correctly the first time. We want a reliable, self‑motivated technician who brings a positive attitude—someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do and looks for ways to help with team and company goals.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, or service HVAC systems in homes to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non‑toxic refrigerants
- Assist on installs while building skills over time, including split systems, duct work, air handlers, furnaces, boilers, condensers, thermostats, indoor air quality products, smart home devices and more
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Recommend upgrades, new HVAC systems, and indoor‑air‑quality products to customers and pass qualified install leads to our sales team
- Deliver an amazing customer experience and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Occasionally respond to after‑hours calls as needed
Required:
- 3-5 years of work experience as an HVAC service technician
- Universal EPA Certification
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Able to use readings from sensors and control panels to spot and solve system issues
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 60 pounds
- Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Professional appearance and personality
- Live within 30 minutes of Oak Park
Preferred:
- Formal education in HVAC (certificate, diploma, etc.)
- Experience with boilers
- Experience using diagnostic software, mobile apps, and digital service management platforms (like Service Titan).
Pay depends on your experience and knowledge as an HVAC technician. Benefits available after a 90‑day trial period.
