The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers across domestic and international locations. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, dispatching, warehousing, and shipping activities. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize supply chain processes and maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
By managing purchase orders and overseeing shipping and receiving functions, the Logistics Coordinator helps minimize delays and reduce costs while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role ensures that products are delivered on time, in good condition, and in alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including warehouse management systems and shipment tracking platforms.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in flatbed, dry van, ground expedite.

- Negotiating the rate for the customer and driving a low rate to the carrier.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management such as APICS CPIM or CSCMP SCPro.
- Experience working with international logistics and cross-border shipping operations.
- Familiarity with purchase order processing and procurement systems.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Ability to analyze logistics data and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and monitor the entire logistics process including freight forwarding, dispatching, and warehousing activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to schedule shipments, track orders, and resolve any logistical issues that arise.
- Maintain and update purchase orders, inventory records, and shipment documentation to support accurate reporting and audit readiness.
- Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.
The required skills such as logistics management, freight forwarding, and warehouse management are applied daily to coordinate shipments, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. Dispatching skills enable the candidate to schedule and track deliveries efficiently, minimizing delays and optimizing routes. Expertise in international logistics and shipping is essential for handling cross-border shipments and customs requirements accurately. Managing purchase orders and shipping and receiving processes requires attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to maintain accurate records and support smooth operations.
