Learn more:  As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity to support a professional, security-related presence.

You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication with team members and visitors. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery or pickup documentation, and directing traffic flow for pedestrians and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, trailer and vehicle movements, and key events using site-required systems and/or written documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the established chain of communication.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as gates, yards, docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
