School Social Worker

Tact Staff EDU is seeking a licensed School Social Worker for a short-term school-based assignment in Michigan. This position is available immediately through October 31, 2026 and will support K-5 students in a school setting.

Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cognitive Impairment (CI), and/or resource students is highly preferred. This is a great opportunity for a School Social Worker who enjoys working collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and special education teams.

• End Date: October 31, 2026
• Schedule: Full-time school-based assignment
• Pay: $50/hour, depending on experience
• Employment: W2 Contract through Tact Staff EDU

• Provide school-based social work services to K-5 students
• Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, academic, and functional needs
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Support students with Autism, Cognitive Impairment, resource needs, and other special education needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate
• Provide individual and/or small-group social-emotional support
• Assist with behavioral and classroom-based interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and student service records
• Support student success, school participation, and access to educational services
• Communicate effectively with school staff and families regarding student needs and progress

• Active Michigan School Social Worker license/certification required
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field as required for Michigan licensure
• School-based, pediatric, or educational experience preferred
• Experience with Autism, Cognitive Impairment, and/or resource students is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
