ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Description

In-person opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN
Rate of Pay: $16 (BOE)

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining compliance with licensing standards, and serving as a welcoming resource for parents and visitors. Key Responsibilities- Support the mission and goals of Emory Valley Center in all aspects of work and services, demonstrating a supportive and proactive team attitude
- Follow Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) licensure guidelines, as well as EVC policies and procedures
- Greet and assist parents, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential child, staff, and center records
- Perform various computer tasks, including data entry, word processing, creating spreadsheets, and managing email correspondence
- Assist the Director and other team members with administrative duties as needed
- Ensure program routines comply with DHS licensure standards and EVC regulations

Requirements- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in administrative or office management is preferred. An associate degree or higher is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a childcare or human services environment.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain positive communication with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management tools.
- Capability to uphold confidentiality and comply with established policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with DHS licensure requirements and EVC standards is advantageous.
- Skilled at working cooperatively in a team setting and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Potential exposure to various medical conditions and infectious diseases.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedules based on program and agency requirements.
