Job Summary:The Training and Compliance Specialist (Training Point of Contact) is responsible for driving training operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing logistics within high-consequence industrial facilities (e.g., Department of Energy cleanup and remediation sites). This role ensures 100% compliance with federal, state, and site‑specific safety standards by coordinating multi‑facility training programs, managing specialized hazard safety rosters, overseeing subcontractor onboarding, and administering high-volume Learning Management System (LMS) data.
Roles and Responsibilities 1. Program Coordination & Compliance Management- Training Leadership:
Direct day-to-day training coordination and compliance workflows for a workforce of 300+ personnel, including direct employees and subcontractors. - Annual Block Training:
Lead the end-to-end planning, curriculum alignment, and multi-track execution of annual block training for over 400+ personnel across multiple operational facilities. - Regulatory Liaison:
Partner with project managers, site leadership, and state regulatory agencies to eliminate compliance gaps and maintain a constant state of audit readiness.
- Hazardous Program Support:
Serve as the primary coordinator or alternate lead for critical safety programs, including the Mercury Worker Program and the Asbestos Program. - Logistics & Monitoring:
Manage qualification renewals, training schedules, and medical surveillance logistics for active, specialized personnel rosters. - Credentialing & Access Control:
Verify training qualifications and administer specialized credential issuance for high-hazard equipment and safety gear (e.g., forklift operations, Powered Air-Purifying Respirators/PAPR).
- System Administration:
Manage high-volume electronic training records, transfers, and system updates within the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) / LEARN database. - Analytics & Reporting:
Engineer and maintain advanced tracking matrices (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for deficiency monitoring, qualification expiration forecasting, and routine audit reporting.
- Standardized Onboarding:
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires and subcontractors, advising personnel on role‑specific qualification pathways and training requirements to align workforce capabilities with evolving job scopes. - Operational Communications:
Manage end-to-end course schedules, facility room reservations, and cross‑channel stakeholder communications to ensure continuous training delivery.
- Record Auditing:
Audit training records and safety credentials to guarantee full adherence to site safety standards. - Operational Support:
Leverage general business or basic financial acumen (e.g., ledger tracking, report preparation, data entry) to assist with program-related logistics, invoicing, and vendor/subcontractor agreements.
