Customer Development Coordinator

Our client is seeking a Customer Development Coordinator to join their team. As a Customer Development Coordinator, you will be part of the Customer Service department supporting customer relationship growth and account development. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent organizational abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Customer Development Coordinator

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Pay Range: 20-23/hr

Shift: 8a-5p M-F

What's the Job?

• Develop smaller and infrequent customer accounts to foster stronger relationships.
• Serve as an internal point of contact for assigned customer groups, reviewing purchasing history and identifying new opportunities.
• Research customer businesses using various sources to understand their needs and identify potential growth areas.
• Investigate declining or inactive accounts to determine underlying causes and recommend follow-up actions.
• Turn customer conversations into actionable next steps, including quotes, samples, and introductions, coordinating with sales teams as needed.

What's Needed?

• Excellent communication skills and comfort initiating conversations over the phone.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets and research tools.
• Willingness to learn about business processes and customer needs.
• Relevant experience in customer service, research, or administrative roles is helpful but not required; early-career applicants are encouraged to apply.
