Ray Tek Federal is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to support a large-scale project centered around the design and construction of a new data center. Candidates must bring deep technical expertise in mechanical or electrical systems for data centers or comparable high-demand facilities, along with strong communication and coordination skills.
Requirements- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be willing to relocate to Oak Ridge, TN if not local
- Clearance not required, however must be willing to do a background check in accordance with Ray Tek policy to confirm you are a U.S. citizen, no criminal history, a drug test, etc.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and technical collaboration skills
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary engineering coordination skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in data center construction/renovation or other power- and cooling-intensive mechanical infrastructure.
- Piping and HVAC systems
- Water‑cooled data center mechanics (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, PCW systems)
- Strong background in energy efficiency engineering and mechanical optimization.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in data center construction/renovation or other critical electrical infrastructure projects.
- Preferred experience with UPS and generator system design
- Strong understanding of electrical redundancy schemes (N, N+1, 2N), load management, and mission‑critical power reliability
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
