SummaryHukari Ascendent is seeking a Project Operations Specialist I to support the Heritage Center Closure / Critical Projects organization at the U.S. Department of Energy Oak Ridge site. This is a full‑time, long‑term assignment anticipated through May 2032. The successful candidate will provide specialized operational support and project coordination under the direction of the Project Operations Staff Manager or Project Manager, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant environmental cleanup efforts.
Required Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
- Project management experience on DOE or DOD contracts.
- Experience managing or operating water treatment systems is desired.
Reports to and receives technical and operational direction from the Project Operations Staff Manager or Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop departmental procedures and standard project procedures.
- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria within a specialized area for a variety of project activities.
- Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data relating to the operations specialty.
- Provide operational advice and counsel on specific assignments.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute difficult, unique, or specialized operational assignments.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals as needed.
