Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in process optimization, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will focus on analyzing complex workflows, improving operational efficiency, and driving data‑based solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools
- Design and optimize production layouts, material flow, and resource utilization
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of process improvement initiatives
- Collect, interpret, and present operational data to support business decisions
- Develop time studies, cost analyses, and capacity models
- Implement performance metrics and create dashboards for monitoring efficiency
- Support automation initiatives and evaluate new technologies for operational enhancement
- Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on process improvements
- Document process changes and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field;
Master’s degree is a plus - 5–10 years of relevant industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or operations environment
- Proven experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks
- Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills; proficiency with Excel, Minitab, or other statistical tools
- Experience with CAD tools and workflow modeling software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.)
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across departments
- DOE Q clearance is preferred
- Open to candidates eligible for an upgrade from DOE L, or conversion to DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing technologies
