Commissioning Specialist

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Commissioning Engineer opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

The Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for ensuring validation and implementation of UPF safety basis and technical design requirements in preparation for readiness.

• Technical adequacy review of safety basis and safety basis support documents.
• Technical adequacy review of drawings, specifications and other design documents that implement safety basis requirements.
• Validation and verification of implementation of technical design requirements in drawings, specifications and other design documents.
• Verifying results of acceptance testing to ensure that design criteria and safety basis requirements are adequately demonstrated.
• Lead facility and systems operational readiness by preparation and verification of readiness affirmation evidence packages.

• Bachelor of Science, from an ABET accredited program, in Engineering/Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or related)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum one year of DOE or Nuclear experience

• Experience in coordinating engineering effort
• Demonstrated technical capabilities, leadership, and work ethic
• Ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines, customers, and stakeholders

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance
