Industrial Hygienists​/Safety Professional

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Industrial Hygienist/Safety Professional to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

• Track and trend safety data for use in programmatic improvement and field safety improvements.
• Perform project oversight inspections.
• Performing hazard assessments.
• Perform accident/injury investigations.
• Review safety documents.
• Attend various project meetings.

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Experience with field oversight of work activities, facility oversight inspections and walk downs, working with management.
• Must be able to climb ladders/stairs, work in hot/cold environments, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Have knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR), EPA (40 CFR), and DOT (49 CFR) regulations and requirements.

• CIH or CSP certification(s), are highly desired.
