Sr Staff Engineer-Sr Principal Engineer; Mechanical

• Prepares engineering products such as calculations, specifications, scopes of work, analyses, designs, and design changes, and engineering reports within the discipline.
• May be assigned as Project Engineer, Discipline Engineer, System Engineer, or Cognizant System Engineer.
• Follows procedures in the development of engineering products.
• May develop engineering products and provide expertise in the engineering discipline commensurate with grade level.
• May provide technical support in the areas of operations, maintenance, inspections and tests, and configuration management for assigned systems and components.
• Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
• Keeps proper engineering files and records.
• Apply industry codes and standards in development of engineering products commensurate with grade level.
• Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
• Complies with company’s safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.
• Develops an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company.
• Conforms to company core values.
• Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
• Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others.
• Prepare and check engineering deliverables and provide field implementation support for D&D, nuclear operations, and projects.

Education: BS in mechanical engineering from a four-year accredited college or university

Experience: 10+ years of experience required in design of mechanical/process systems and DOE operations and projects experience.

Professional Engineer License preferred.
