Vice President of Engineering Opportunity

I'm seeking a Director of Engineering to guide and oversee engineering activities for a large-scale, highly regulated, capital energy infrastructure mega project.

About the Role

In this role, you will act as the primary technical authority for the organization, coordinating design, construction support, and deliverables between the owner and its partners. You’ll manage cross-functional engineering teams, interface with contractors and partners, and ensure that project execution aligns with strict safety, regulatory, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and integrate engineering disciplines across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through commissioning.
  • Provide technical leadership, ensuring designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment across systems.
  • Support risk assessments, design verification, and safety analysis documentation.
  • Oversee technical input to procurement, ensuring equipment and systems meet project objectives.
  • Develop schedules, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively for engineering teams.
  • Drive resolution of technical challenges during construction and operations readiness.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in complex industrial facilities, preferably nuclear industry
  • Broad knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing/working with EPCs
  • Familiarity with regulatory and quality frameworks for safety-critical facilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated success leading and uniting multidisciplinary technical teams in highly regulated environments, including experience scaling up teams or guiding them through evolving mission.
