About the RoleResponsible for executing technical activities on assigned projects to ensure efficient and timely completion in accordance with government and plant directives. Plans, coordinates, and directs activities to meet the Project Management mission in line with assigned authorities and responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Provide technical aptitude, integration and leadership for planning, scheduling, monitoring, configuration control, analysis, and reporting on multiple scopes of varying size, complexity, and risk.
- Ensure Project Managers have tools to confirm projects are on track, within budget, and compliant with requirements.
- Participate in planning, development, monitoring, and control of project scope, cost, and schedule integration.
- Use tools and systems to effectively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects.
- Develop cost, schedule, and risk plans; collect performance data; track data; analyze; forecast to complete; and report.
- Identify and track changes to project scope, providing visibility of cost and schedule impact to client and PM.
- Integrate cost and schedule data with the company's accounting and management information systems to support performance and financial goals.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to collect, analyze, and distribute required outputs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of control systems including Earned Value Management and related project management processes.
- Verifiable experience using Oracle Primavera P6 and Project Scheduler tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting to customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels across the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and mobilize resources to support project schedules; ability to evaluate project and process problems and determine solutions; ability to interface with internal and external customers including DOE, NNSA, NPO, and management.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance; successful drug screening required.
- Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance (Q level); however, qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance status.
- 25+ years of scheduling experience.
- 15+ years of scheduling experience on DOE 413.3b projects with knowledge of DOE policies and project controls.
- Advanced planning and schedule compliance skills.
- Advanced cost control, change management, and variance reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; ability to work with teams and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, SAP, and WebEVM (CloudEVM); experience with Empower.
- Cross-functional experience in Project/Control Account Management for DOE projects; experience managing multiple scopes and vendors.
- Hybrid work arrangement at the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with some travel/on-site requirements.
- Full-time schedule:
Monday – Friday, 40-hour week.
