Process Engineer – Flow Systems

Responsibilities

• Help design and integrate next‑generation nuclear systems
• Contribute to thermal‑fluid and heat‑transfer modeling for nuclear applications, translating analysis into practical design decisions
• Support structural and materials evaluations using modern simulation tools
• Draft clear technical documentation: design specs, test plans, and verification procedures
• Collaborate with senior engineers across mechanical, nuclear, and systems disciplines to integrate models with real equipment
• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and system verification activities

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering)
• Academic or project experience in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, or structural analysis
• Experience with flow calculations
• Experience with P&IDs
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as ANSYS, Solid Works, MATLAB, etc.
• Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship (required)
• Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance (preferred)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
