We are seeking a motivated Safety Basis Engineer to contribute to our mission supporting our work at ECMS in Oak Ridge, TN.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or similar field.
Skills, Experience and QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in chemical or nuclear facilities.
- Working level knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering processes and principles for requirements definition, flow down, and verification.
- Working knowledge and application of appropriate QA requirements such as NQA-1 to design, procurement, construction, and/or acceptance testing.
- Design Engineering Experience consisting of demonstrated performance in facility/process and utility systems and equipment designs e.g., drawings, calculations, design changes, and testing.
- Engineering Oversight Experience consisting of demonstrated performance in Chemical/Nuclear Facility 30%, 60%, 90% design reviews and engineering processes programmatic reviews.
- Safety Basis Documents Experience consisting of demonstrated performance and understanding of hazard analysis, documented safety analysis, technical safety requirements, fire hazard analysis, criticality safety analysis, etc.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. (required)
- Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS:
- Active Q clearance.
- Onsite work in Oak Ridge, TN.
- Work will be on the ECMS contract.
