Position Summary

The Electrochemical Engineer will provide technical leadership and hands‑on engineering support for industrial‑scale electrochemical cell development, with emphasis on molten salt or other large‑format electrochemical systems. This role will help fill a critical experience need in electrochemistry at scale, supporting design, testing, optimization, and integration of process equipment across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and support electrochemical process concepts, cell designs, operating parameters, and scale‑up strategies for industrial‑size electrochemical systems.
  • Provide technical input on molten salt electrochemistry, cell configuration, electrode materials, reaction environments, power requirements, thermal management, and process performance.
  • Support design integration with DC power systems, high‑temperature vessels, furnaces, mechanical piping, instrumentation, controls, safety systems, and custom equipment fabrication.
  • Plan, evaluate, and document electrochemical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, data interpretation, and performance improvement activities.
  • Identify technical risks, scale‑up challenges, process constraints, equipment interface issues, and opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, engineers, designers, fabricators, vendors, and project leadership to advance technical objectives.
