Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer will support both existing site infrastructure and new construction projects by performing electrical system design, design reviews, and design recovery activities. This position focuses primarily on industrial power distribution systems and facility/building electrical systems (480V and below) while ensuring designs are safe, operable, maintainable, and constructible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical system design, design reviews, and design recovery for existing infrastructure and new construction projects.
- Develop engineering solutions for complex electrical problems involving industrial and facility electrical systems.
- Conduct field walkdowns and site visits to gather information on existing system configurations and conditions.
- Perform design recovery activities and evaluate existing electrical systems.
- Complete electrical engineering calculations and analyses to support design packages.
- Develop technical specifications, engineering documentation, and design deliverables.
- Prepare and review technical drawings and design details.
- Research equipment, vendors, industry standards, and technical reference materials.
- Evaluate constructability, operability, maintainability, inspection requirements, and system accessibility during design development.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, vendors, operations, and maintenance personnel to develop quality engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support throughout project execution and implementation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and site requirements.
