Position Summary
The Mechanical Designer will develop detailed mechanical design models, drawings, and fabrication-ready documentation for custom equipment and high-temperature process systems. This role requires strong Solid Works capability, practical design-for-manufacturability experience, and the ability to work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project teams to convert technical concepts into buildable designs.
Responsibilities
- Create andmaintaindetailed Solid Works models, assemblies, drawings, bills of material, and fabrication documentation for custom mechanical equipment.
- Apply design-for-manufacturability principles to support practical fabrication, inspection, assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Support design development for high-temperature equipment, molten salt systems, furnace components, fixtures, piping interfaces, and related mechanical assemblies.
- Coordinate design details with mechanical engineers, piping engineers, electrical engineers,controlsstaff, procurement, vendors, and fabrication personnel.
- Revise drawings and models based on design reviews, constructability feedback, vendor input, field changes, and configuration-controlled updates.
- Maintainaccuratetechnical documentation in accordance with project quality, safety, document control, and configuration management expectations.
