Position: Mechanical Engineer (Major Equipment)

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Engineer (Major Equipment) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at theY-12 National Security Complex
.

Description

The Major Equipment Mechanical Engineer will support the following tasks:

  • Estimating, specifying, designing, procurement and construction support of specialty and first of a kind equipment such as gloveboxaes, furnaces, high vacuum systems and metal casting/machining equipment.
  • Creating design concepts using Pro/Engineer (CREO) CAD software and topology optimization software as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience leading multi-discipline machine design efforts is preferred
  • Experience producing build-to-print equipment fabrication packages is preferred
  • CREO parametric experience is preferred
