The Treasury Accountant position applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, as well as maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
Other responsibilities include:
- Compiling and analyzing financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
- Preparing balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
- Monitoring Treasury accounts and utilizing US government letter of credit.
- Assisting in maintaining all banking relationships and effectively communicating with banks and the US Treasury.
- Monitoring daily banking activity and daily/monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitoring electronic cash receipt and disbursement processing.
Responsibilities also include designing, modifying, installing, and/or maintaining accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions, including adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures, as well as performing account reconciliation and account cost analysis. This position is integral to the accounting management and financial reporting of the company and the assurance that internal controls are adequate.
This role also interfaces with NNSA, NPO, and Audit personnel on a frequent basis.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
