Berthold Technologies, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Controller to join our growing Finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a hands‑on environment and enjoys improving processes while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
The Assistant Controller plays a key role within the Finance Department, supporting the Controller in managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position requires strong accounting expertise, a proactive approach, and experience working with Acumatica ERP or a similar financial platform. The Assistant Controller will help ensure timely and accurate financial information while contributing to initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen financial processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and review financial transactions for accuracy
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
- Utilize Acumatica ERP (or similar systems) to support financial reporting and operational needs
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progressive accounting experience, including experience in financial reporting and general ledger management
- Experience with Acumatica ERP preferred; experience with comparable ERP systems will be considered
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
