The Phlebotomist is responsible for specimen collection and handling while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Specimen Collection: Draw blood using venipuncture or capillary techniques from diverse patient populations.
- Patient Interaction: Explain procedures, answer questions, and ease anxiety to ensure patient comfort.
- Safety & Sanitation: Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment to prevent infection.
- Documentation: Properly identify patients, label samples, and accurately enter data into medical records.
- Sample Management: Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensuring accuracy in high-volume environments.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Must be a certified phlebotomist
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
- Monday–Friday
- 6:45 AM – 9:45 AM
- Schedule in effect through September 30th
