Summary
A motivated and enthusiastic Information Technology Specialist is needed to join a dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for those eager to work in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The responsibilities include providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with various IT projects including CMMC rollout to ensure smooth operations for the organization.
Requirements- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
- Assist with setting up and configuring new workstations, software, and other IT equipment.
- Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
- Document all support requests, resolutions, and procedures in a clear and concise manner within the ticketing system.
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
- Participate in IT projects, rollouts, and upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely problem resolution and meet business needs.
- Experience with CMMC rollout or CMMC environment.
- Associate's degree or better in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR 2 years of equivalent work experience combined with relevant IT certifications.
- Certifications (Preferred):
CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals, or other entry-level IT certifications.
Special Requirements
- Skills:
- Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking basics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑centric approach.
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to a changing IT environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
$30 - $35 Per Hour.
Job TypeFull-Time. ON SITE ONLY.
Job LocationOak Ridge/Knoxville, TN.
