SQL DBA to support a variety of data focused initiatives. The ideal candidate can manage, optimize, and secure Postgre

SQL environments while collaborating closely with engineering and analytics teams.

• Plan, implement, and maintain Postgre
  
  SQL environments across on premises and cloud platforms.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance for analytical and operational workloads.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Manage database migrations, version control practices, and backup/restore strategies.
• Develop and maintain data models supporting analytical, scientific, or business workloads.
• Support ETL pipelines, data movement processes, and batch workloads.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and data engineers to integrate Postgre
  
  SQL into broader systems.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical guidance.
• Document database configurations, standards, and best practices.
• Implement security measures including roles, permissions, and encryption.
• Maintain patching, version upgrades, and overall environment hygiene.

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience administering Postgre
  
  SQL or similar RDBMS systems.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
• Familiarity with:
  • Postgre
    
    SQL extensions and open source tooling
  • Clustering, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Linux environments and scripting (shell, Python, etc.)
  • SDLC, source control, and documentation
  • Containerization and CI/CD tools
  • Data warehousing and data lake concepts
  • Visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate well in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced expertise with Postgre
  
  SQL performance tuning and environment optimization.
• Deep experience with data architecture, metadata management, and large scale data systems.
• Strong background supporting complex ETL workflows and analytical workloads.
• Ability to mentor team members and contribute to database best practices.
