Strata‑G is seeking an experienced IT Senior Engineer with the following responsibilities.
SummaryPerforms professional work as an IT Senior Engineer assisting the PM‑30 project management data analytics and DOE Project Analysis and Reporting System (PARS) teams with translating Access efforts into SQL and assisting with development of Power BI presentation within the Department of Energy, Office of Project Management, Project Controls Division (PM‑30). This position will be 40 hours per week throughout the period of performance (PoP).
MajorDuties
QL to support improved data access for PARS applications
- Should be familiar with standard cost/scheduling EVMS and cost/scheduling tools and be able to interpret standard EVM terminology such as budget at completion, estimate at completion, schedule risk assessment, Monte Carlo simulation, random seed methods, estimate to complete, measures of location and error, predictive forecast analysis, duration‑based percent complete.
- Identifies and defines opportunities for improvement and suggestions for alternative courses of action related to SQL, Power BI.
- Support PM‑30 Performance Team in moving Data Analytics, Data Integrity and Quality Tool, and internal tools for IPM compliance metrics to PARS, moving from Access based tools to SQL and with Power BI output.
- Work with PM‑30 Data Analytics, PARS, and Performance team to move access‑based capabilities, document development, and establish within PARS SQL data and reporting using Power BI.
- Understanding of EVM concepts and tools used to build SQL structure and output in Power BI to support analytics.
