Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst—Energy to join our team in the Oak Ridge, TN office. The role ensures safe work environments while directly supporting DOE cybersecurity compliance and risk management.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute an implementation plan to establish risk‑management approach documents in line with DOE Order 205.1B and related policies.
- Ensure the appropriate level of risk is managed to prevent unacceptable adverse impacts on information and information systems; recommend changes to cyber‑security measures.
- Develop, verify, and maintain cybersecurity policies, plans, standards, and procedures in accordance with DOE requirements.
- Conduct and document periodic cyber‑security assessments as part of the Self‑Assessment Program; maintain current knowledge of emerging threats.
- Maintain the Cybersecurity Plan of Action and Milestones, submitting updates to the Issok ISSO and ISSM.
- Develop Interim Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Operate documents for AO submittal.
- Coordinate cyber‑security inspections, tests, and reviews.
- Support the execution of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in DOE cybersecurity and in a cyber‑security role.
- Proficient with Windows XP, Windows7, and Windows Server operating systems and related communication protocols.
- Knowledgeable in hardware/software cyber‑security implementation, encryption techniques, and tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of DOE cyber‑security directives and their application to unclassified, sensitive, and classified information systems.
- Must pass a federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Real I.D. compliant identification required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Compensation range: $65,000–$109,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
