PositionMaintenance/Utility/Ground Technician – Oliver Springs Quarry, Oliver Springs, TN.
Job Responsibilities- General plant/mining labor and clean‑up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean‑up and operations.
- Perform plant maintenance work: cutting, welding, changing rollers & bearings, belt splicing.
- Operate equipment as needed – bobcat, skid steer, haul truck, dozer, track hoe.
- Provide support in various production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand periods.
- Run water truck to control dust on roadways.
- Report equipment problems and identify them to management; help maintain quarry and equipment.
- Complete daily inspections and equipment pre‑shift reports (if applicable).
- Assist other workers as needed or directed.
- Other duties, assignments, and requirements as determined by management.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties, including plant clean‑up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned.
- Previous welding and cutting experience preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, haul truck.
- Self‑motivated; able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
- Quick learner.
- Understanding of basic safety and work instructions.
- Willingness to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
- Plant maintenance experience a plus.
- Experience with aggregate operations a plus.
