We are looking for a passionate and driven Crystal Lab Technician to join our team. As a Crystal Lab Technician, you will provide technical support in the production of germanium radiation detectors by growing detector grade, single‑crystal, high‑purity Ge (HPGe). The Crystal Lab Technician will also maintain and troubleshoot crystal growth equipment.
Responsibilities- Acid etch and load germanium charge and quartz crucible into crystal growing furnace.
- Operate furnace to produce high‑purity germanium crystal suitable for detector manufacturing.
- Clean and maintain crystal growth equipment and associated etch sink/clean room.
- Prepare and document zone refined ingots for use in the crystal growth process.
- Maintain record and logbooks on crystals and crystal growth machines.
- Assist in general mechanical and electrical maintenance of equipment, as required.
- Assist in quality control, yield assurance and inventory control.
- Associate degree.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
