Senior CNC Machinist Lead

Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a CNC Team Lead with strong machine setup and troubleshooting skills to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in G-code/M-code editing, machine setup, troubleshooting, roll changes, blueprint reading, precision measurements, and strong math skills. Leadership experience preferred.

Job Title: CNC Team Lead

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Pay Range: $31.00-$32.00/hour

Shift: Multiple shifts available

What's the Job?

• Lead and support operators working on complex multi-axis CNC equipment

• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery goals are achieved

• Monitor workflow, efficiency, scrap rates, and production metrics

• Communicate production challenges and staffing needs to leadership

• Partner with production planning teams to manage workflow priorities

• Train, coach, and mentor team members on safety, quality, and operational procedures

• Conduct performance feedback and support employee development initiatives

• Perform hands-on CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting as needed

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure products meet specifications

• Drive continuous improvement efforts and maintain a safe work environment

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Ability to edit G-Code and M-Code
• Strong machine setup and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
