Manufacturing Engineer
MS Technology is seeking Manufacturing Engineer to support our client in Oak Ridge, TN. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for engineering activities in support of the production targets for components, assemblies, and machines. Candidates with active Q Clearance will be given priority.
Location: On-Site in Oak Ridge, TN
Salary: Depending on Experience
Responsibilities:- Establishes routings, processes, and procedures for fabrication, assembly, and repair of complex components
- Leads product launch activities
- Responsible for the achieving and maintaining targets for Availability, Performance, and Quality for manufacturing operations at the Technology and Manufacturing Center
- Supports established scopes of work for manufacturing activities
- Leads efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements in machining techniques, fixturing approaches, material properties, tooling/coatings, coolants/fluids choice and application techniques, and other Lean manufacturing approaches
- Documents potential risks or shortfalls in future state processes
- Leads planning and analysis activities
- Designs and develops manufacturing processes with a cross-functional team utilizing internal and external resources.
- Develops specifications for fabrication materials and equipment
- Leads the design for manufacturing steps in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages to be used for fabrication
- Manages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, and environmental and safety program requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other related engineering discipline.
- 5+ Years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing
- Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems. i.e.: NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001
- Experience with AIAG Core Tools
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance
- Active "Q" or Top Secret security clearance
- Experience in Statistical Analysis
- Experience with composites manufacturing
- Project Management experience
- Centrifuge manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience with license driven safety significant parts/systems
